Marco Schommer, a seasoned operations and production engineer, boasts an impressive career spanning over a quarter of a century. His journey began in the heart of the Swiss watch industry, where he honed his skills in various roles, including material flow expert and production planner, for the renowned watch company ETA, a member of Swatch group. His expertise in logistics management was instrumental during his seven-year tenure with Swatch watches.

Marco’s career trajectory took a turn towards luxury when he joined Bulgari (LVMH), an international luxury company. For over 18 years, he led the after-sales service department, eventually ascending to the role of director. His leadership extended to academia when he took charge of a watchmaking school (WOSTEP) for two years.

In late 2019, Marco embarked on a new adventure, leaving Switzerland for Rwanda. He began as an independent consultant in vocational training before assuming a role as the head of Business Professionals Network (BPN) entrepreneurial development department in March 2021. 

Since late 2022, Marco is leading the development and implementation of a practice oriented training institution for middle managers named The Magnet Institute; an institute belonging to BPN alumni entrepreneurs. His diverse experience and strategic acumen continue to drive his success in this role.
